NAILED IT! Round 3 – Underwater Magic

Skills You Will Learn: Fondant wrapping an 8-inch cake, sculpting fondant decorations by hand, using cookie cutters and food coloring to create fondant decorations.

For our one-year anniversary, CAKE will be hosting a NAILED IT! Competition all day long! This FINAL COMPETITION round is appropriately themed “UNDERWATER MAGIC”!

In this round, each person will be given one hour to RECREATE a fondant wrapped and decorated 8 inch cake as best as possible, given all tools needed! Cakes will be baked, frosted and ready to fondant wrap.

Techniques needed will include fondant wrapping an 8 inch cake, using fondant to create unique decorations to match the sample cake made by Jason.

Jason will show a brief demo before the round begins! Once the time starts, recreate the cake as best as possible. This is a visual round, so the cakes should look as close as possible to the SAMPLE made by Jason.

Each entry will be given an OFFICIAL CAKE apron for entering! HOWEVER, prizes will be given out for the top 3 submissions, judged by the CAKE TEAM (Jason, Kelly and Juvon).
