A note from Jason and Kelly,
Dear all Cake by Jason family and customers,
Kelly and I wanted to take a moment to share our thoughts on the updated news Governor Hogan shared about the coronavirus in Maryland during his press conference this afternoon. After hearing his thoughts and new recommendations for Maryland, we simply wanted to reach out to you, our amazing group of supporters.
At Cake, we have always maintained safety and cleanliness standards well above the standards implemented by restaurants. In addition to having thorough twice-weekly cleaning from a professional company, we continue to maintain, monitor and exceed the standards set by local and federal health departments. During this time of increased protocol for health and safety, we will continue to commit ourselves above and beyond what is necessary.
As the owners, we want to personally thank you for your patronage. We are grateful that Governor Hogan has reminded all of us that it is still safe to shop at local retailers for goods and services.
However, even though we are already confident in our sanitation and cleanliness standards meeting all expectations, you may notice a few changes to our protocols to ensure our dedication to the health and safety of our customer base. You may notice increased cleaning and dishwashing staff on site and we will no longer be offering free waters in an effort to decrease handling back and forth. Please know that these changes are not out of fear, but to stay one step ahead of everything that is to come. It is our goal to be a business that helps to “flatten the curve.”
At Cake, our tag line is to celebrate the sweet life. This means we must celebrate all moments of life, even those that are a little more intimidating than the rest. And we will continue to do that.
Rest assured that we will continue to monitor the status of this health crisis and we will continue to go above AND BEYOND what is necessary to keep you, our customers and our staff safe.
And to wrap up our very serious message…no matter what happens, no matter what illnesses inflict us, no matter what we must overcome as a society and as humanity, won’t it all be just a LITTLE bit easier with a cupcake hand?
Sincerely,
Jason + Kelly
